Method Contribution: In 2010, Denise kicked off her professional career by obtaining her Medical Assistant Certification from Sanford Brown College. She then went to work as a Medical Assistant for DFW Internal Medical Clinic, where she assisted the physicians, administered injections, and conducted patient screenings. Her time as a Medical Assistant equipped her to become an effective and empathetic Customer Service Representative at a little-known insurance company called Cigna. 😉 In this role, Denise was responsible for assisting the team with various projects like primary care physicians, claims, and data entry. After three years, Denise earned a promotion to Senior Appeals Specialist. As a Senior Appeals Specialist, Denise communicated appeal decisions and resolved issues for appellants, leadership, and providers. After eight years with Cigna, Denise was ready for her next chapter! Now with Method, she assists the Claims Adjusters in coordinating a claimant’s treatment, claims file administration, and customer service. She gets to put her medicine and insurance experience to use by verifying policy information and communicating if a discrepancy exists. Talk about attention to detail!

Hobbies: Denise lives in Carrollton, TX with her wife and their two kids. As a family, they enjoy sports together! On any given day, you’ll find Denise coaching her daughter’s volleyball team or cheering her son on at his basketball game. In the off-season, they like to stay active by camping or training at home. They’re an athletic family for sure! Even the family dog, a mini Shih-Tzu (Sammie), loves playing catch and going on walks.
